I seem to remember when I was growing up around this time that Bush proclaimed he hated it, that broccoli was totally uncool. No kids would eat it, it was the butt of jokes.
I honestly think its ‘cuz our moms would boil it to death instead of steaming it, thus making it soggy and stinky.
…or worse yet douse it in velveeta after they cooked it to death! Why did we coat everything in Velveeta or Cheez Wiz back then. So gross.
